14:11:11 <ynpvisitor45> We need to correct an error in GT. Would someone please add a flag to the following entry so it will be deleted -- http://geysertimes.org/eruption.php?id=752294
15:06:42 <ynpvisitor75> What is wrong with it. Betty usually does not make mistakes.
15:08:50 <ynpvisitor45> There was no eruption at that time. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXzH1dw-XnE at about the 9m15s point
15:09:55 <ynpvisitor58> Daisy 709ie
15:42:38 <Dave from B> Lion 0742ie
15:59:37 <Dave from B> Morning Kevin, CO Dave and Art H
15:59:55 <Kevin L> Morning Dave
16:00:11 <Dave from B> Going to be fun today...missing whse mgr and asst/market manager
16:00:45 <ynpvisitor97> Beehive did not erupt overnight.
16:01:04 <Dave from B> Hi, Ryan!
16:01:17 <Ryan> Good splashing. We're at almost 20hrs.
16:01:34 <Dave from B> Should be very soon
16:01:47 <Kevin L> Dave, before I forget you have to watch the last episode of Deadliest Catch. Most of these guys are Seachicken fans and they had showed the week of the superbowl. You will enjoy it.
16:02:31 <Ryan> Any time now. We also have fluffy and Lion to keep us entertained. That initial was outstanding.
16:03:21 <ynpvisitor45> We need to correct an error in GT. Would someone please add a flag to the following entry so it will be deleted -- http://geysertimes.org/eruptio...=752294
16:03:37 <ynpvisitor45> There was no eruption at that time. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?...1dw-XnE at about the 9m15s point
16:03:49 <Dave from B> I haven't watched it but there is a video of them listening to the final seconds of the Super Bowl on the ESPN phone app
16:05:05 <ynpvisitor45> That error gives us the shrotest interval on Old Faithful fro the past year and it is a mistake.
16:05:24 <Kevin L> The lead up to it is really funny. The last few seconds are not nearly as good if you don't see the full leadup.
16:06:05 <Dave from B> 45, from what day is that OF eruption?
16:06:17 <ynpvisitor6> #45 When i checked that entry it appears to be gone
16:06:43 <Dave from B> I'm having trouble finding it as well
16:08:26 <ynpvisitor45> YEs, it is gone now. Someone deleted it. Thank you.
16:09:34 <ynpvisitor6> Interesting the link above for the eruption in question is for OF, but the note speaks about Depression. THAT is confusing!
16:10:31 <ynpvisitor6> http://geysertimes.org/eruption.php?id=752294 click on the Flag to see the note
16:10:53 <ynpvisitor45> Actually it is still there. The eruption was January 2, 2015 at 2347. The link is http://geysertimes.org/eruption.php?id=752294
16:10:54 <Kevin L> That was a boom start!
16:11:48 <ynpvisitor45> The link to the webcam capture is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXzH1dw-XnE
16:12:20 <ynpvisitor6> Why the note about Depression if this is a time for OF?
16:13:09 <Kevin L> I wonder if he was meaning to post a Depression.
16:15:23 <ynpvisitor45> Because I just reported Depression it should now say Old Faithful.
16:15:48 <ynpvisitor45> Look teh 2347 time fro OF is wrong. It needs to be deleted.
16:17:30 <ynpvisitor6> From JANUARY 2ND! WOW...
16:18:05 <ynpvisitor45> Let's go back. Yesterday we had a short interval on Old Faithful. The question was when was teh last interval less than 50 minutes. A search found an interval of 32 minutes on January 2, 2015. A look at the camera capture showed no eruption.
16:18:59 <ynpvisitor6> I see that
16:19:53 <ynpvisitor45> So why won't anyone put in the second flag so it will be deleted?
16:20:53 <Kevin L> I can't figure out how to get to it
16:21:32 <ynpvisitor45> The link I posted at 0810:53 should work.
16:21:39 <ynpvisitor6> Im trying. GT won't let me sign in
16:22:18 <Kevin L> I can see it but I can't flag it.
16:22:26 <ynpvisitor45> Well, thank you for trying Kevin and 6.
16:23:07 <ynpvisitor6> Done. gone
16:23:54 <ynpvisitor45> Thank you.
16:24:32 <ynpvisitor45> Now I can go back to seraching for the last under 50 minute interval.
16:27:52 <Jenna> ..
16:33:39 <ynpvisitor45> Found another error http://geysertimes.org/eruption.php?id=729622 -- no eruption.
16:34:30 <ynpvisitor45> Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgL44KyQO2k
16:52:47 <Dave from B> Kevin, the page wants you to leave so BH will erupt:)
16:54:36 <Kevin L> It isn't the page, it is this teenage computer. I think it is about ready for some tannerite.
16:56:51 <Dave from B> Lion 0856ie
16:58:01 <Dave from B> Someone tall is walking in front of cam
16:58:02 <Kevin L> susie spotless is at the cam1
17:17:50 <ynpvisitor45> I wasn't able to verify it because it was too dark, the last under 50 minute interval of Old Faithful that I could find (that wasn't deffinitely a mistake) was a 49 minute interval E to ns on December 21, 2013.
17:18:37 <Kevin L> Lot of BH customers this morning.
17:21:20 <Dave from B> Thanks for doing the research, 45. How short was the eruption before yesterday short interval?
17:22:11 <Dave from B> must be ranger group
17:28:42 <ynpvisitor45> both eruption intrvals were 49 minutes but the 12-21-2013 was E to ns so could have been as long as 55m.
17:29:02 <ynpvisitor45> I guess I need to keep looking for an interval I can verify.
17:34:10 <kc (working)> thanks for following up 45
17:37:29 <Dave from B> Morning kc, Mario
17:37:49 <Mario> Morning Dave
17:37:52 <Mario> how is everything

17:51:53 <CO Dave> nice water and spikes
17:52:49 <CO Dave> i always think that if those trees were not there we would be able to see nearly the whole thing. I know there's a little shoulder of a hill there but it would be close.

18:20:49 <Kevin L> I bet we missed Daisy during Grand.

18:22:41 <Jenna> try that on Giantess!!
18:23:20 <Kevin L> I would be happy with BH now!
18:24:29 <ynpvisitor45> I was wrong
18:32:55 <Dave from B> Morning Mr. 29
18:33:13 <Eric(29)> Morning to you sir :-)
18:46:38 <Dave from B> Wonder how many people are sleeping at BH?
18:47:47 <Kevin L> I am getting close to that.
18:51:32 <Kevin L> It would be nice if Aurum would come out for us.
18:56:00 <Kitt> Lion again
18:56:01 <Eric(29)> Lion
18:56:02 <Kevin L> Something is showing signs of life!
18:56:30 <Kitt> Have we had a recent Depression?
18:56:55 <Eric(29)> 821 kitt
18:57:05 <Kevin L> I don't think so. Lot of viewers there to report it.
18:57:10 <Kitt> ok, not very recent
18:57:10 <Dave from B> ..
18:57:17 <Dave from B> Morning Kitt
18:57:23 <Kitt> Hello
19:00:36 <Kitt> I am surprised at the number of people waiting for Beehive
19:00:57 <Kitt> I hope it chooses a 24 hour interval and not a longer one
19:01:29 <Kevin L> Pushing 24 right now.
19:02:03 <Eric(29)> Hope it didn't go overnight :-|
19:02:05 <Kitt> we've had a 31 hour interval
19:02:36 <Kevin L> There was a note it was splashing this morning so I don't think it went overnight.
19:02:41 <Kitt> Karl checked it this morning and didn't think it had erupted
19:02:58 <Kitt> it has just been having longer intervals this summer
19:15:48 <ynpvisitor87> Hey Eric, notice we had lots of rain last night...
19:16:50 <ynpvisitor87> longer intervals this summer as it has been quite a wet one
19:17:48 <ynpvisitor87> just a couple of days of nice weather and the intervals shortened up.
19:19:41 <Kitt> Old Faithful
19:20:38 <Eric(29)> Ahhh, that surface water really does affect BH intervals
19:20:52 <Eric(29)> Thanks for the reminder 87 ;-)
19:21:12 <Eric(29)> Now we just need data and statistics to back up the observations.
19:21:51 <Eric(29)> LC
19:22:33 <Kitt> indy
19:22:36 <Kitt> ding
19:22:42 <Kitt> ding
19:23:06 <ynpvisitor87> no one comments about the weather on GT, so I am pretty sure we will never have that data
19:23:40 <Kitt> hello, wake up everyone It is Bee time
19:24:47 <Kevin L> Just as the OF overflow heads to the Geyser Grill.
19:24:54 <Eric(29)> That data is easily available from the weather service and the monitoring station at OF
19:25:43 <ynpvisitor87> someone would have to take the time to compare them
19:25:48 <Kitt> I'm sure gazers on the hill called water in the indicator, so the Visitor Center will be suggesting people go watch Bee
19:25:53 <Eric(29)> I assume it would be pretty easy to correlate for anybody with the time to import the numbers and run them. We have great data on both rainfall and BH eruptions.
19:26:20 <ynpvisitor87> well if anyone ever does, I would love to see what they come up with
19:26:51 <ynpvisitor87> nice little crowd
19:28:56 <Kitt> Bee is in a hurry today
19:28:57 <Kevin L> Dave is hiding.
19:28:57 <Kitt> Beehive
19:29:07 <ynpvisitor87> short indy
19:29:22 <Kitt> Go tall Bee
19:29:35 <ynpvisitor87> it looks like a mini Bee
19:29:48 <Dave from B> ..
19:30:42 <ynpvisitor87> that is different
19:31:07 <Eric(29)> ??
19:31:29 <ynpvisitor87> that it never went tall
19:31:50 <Kitt> note the breeze blowing bee sideways
19:32:21 <ynpvisitor87> yes, but not that windy...still, very fun
19:32:50 <Eric(29)> BHI off
19:32:51 <ynpvisitor87> we know the poncho person is not Kitt
19:32:57 <Eric(29)> haha
19:33:21 <Kitt> there are several people who wear ponchos up there
19:33:37 <Kitt> Sometimes Will, usually Polly, etc.
19:34:13 <Eric(29)> A sombrero would make a good geyser hat :-)
19:34:38 <Kitt> well, back to chores
19:34:45 <Kitt> Have a good day everyone
19:56:00 <Mario> Lion
20:05:11 <Dave from B> short indy...yuck
20:05:41 <Kevin L> You would have missed it by now anyway Dave.
20:05:57 <Dave from B> I was here...I saw part of it
20:06:28 <Dave from B> Thursday is our busiest wholesale day of the week so not seeing much today
20:07:27 <Kevin L> Of course. It is just before FRYday.
20:07:41 <Dave from B> haha
20:07:48 <Dave from B> off to the market...bbl
20:14:04 <Eric(29)> Riverside was steaming a minute ago
20:47:30 <Kevin L> GT isn't playing well today.
20:58:38 <Kevin L> daisy ie
21:00:49 <Kevin L> Lion ie
21:12:50 <Eric(29)> Cool...so I just requested the last 2 years of precipitation data from the old faithful weather station from NOAA
21:13:58 <Eric(29)> Should be easy to drop that data in with the BH eruption intervals and see if there is any correlation :-)
21:15:22 <Kevin L> It seems to be taking 2 years to enter data in GT today.
21:20:49 <Kevin L> Hope the Lion entry enters before the next OF.
21:24:52 <ynpvisitor62> It will be great to see what you find out Eric
21:31:26 <Eric(29)> Average high temperature over the last 2 years was 49.82F :-)
21:33:56 <Eric(29)> Average low temp 20.84F
21:34:21 <Eric(29)> Not very useful...but interesting :-D
21:35:57 <ynpvisitor62> in a place where it can be -30 in winter, that avg high is higher than I thought it would be
21:37:03 <Eric(29)> I don't think there are too many days that the high is -30 in the winter...but I could check that too.
21:37:14 <Eric(29)> The lows definitely get down there
21:37:28 <ynpvisitor62> I meant the low
21:37:59 <Eric(29)> Average Daily precipitation: .07 inches
21:38:35 <Eric(29)> These are just averages across all of the days over the last 2 years...so probably not super useful or meaningful. But just starting to play with the data
21:50:56 <Kevin L> Aurum
21:52:58 <Kevin L> And everybody was asleep for it!
21:54:09 <Jenna> I saw some blurry steam
21:56:59 <Kevin L> OF does try to mess it up.
22:00:39 <ynpvisitor53> Lion
22:03:19 <Kevin L> Long series
22:04:09 <ynpvisitor53> That wasn't a bad eruption for this late in the game
22:23:39 <Betty> good afternoon all
22:24:23 <Jenna> hi Betty
22:24:47 <Betty> hi, Jenna
22:26:54 <Kevin L> Hi Betty
22:27:15 <Betty> hey, Kevin L

22:59:32 <Jenna> #8 for the day
23:01:30 <Kevin L> Lonest series for quite a while.
23:02:52 <Eric(29)> Dave, are you using Kevin's name?
23:03:11 <Betty> haha
23:03:19 <Jenna> lol
23:03:28 <Kevin L> Getting close to a Grand/Daisy.
23:03:31 <Kevin L> :P
23:03:41 <Eric(29)> Nope...guess not :-D
23:04:43 <Kevin L> I spent half the day yesterday trudging through the desert and I think I only got about 3 hours sleep last night.
23:05:00 <Betty> bah
23:05:02 <Kevin L> Just trying to stay awake right now.
23:05:06 <Eric(29)> wow...I would have slept like a rock
23:09:08 <Kevin L> Have to take off normal end of shift today, so there may not be a camop for a couple of hours until kc gets off work.
23:19:22 <Betty> time for sleep ( donĀ“t be envious, Kevin :-p ) see ya tomorrow
23:29:36 <Kevin L> Betty got Daisy for us!

23:57:07 <Kevin L> Have to keep an eye on North Googles.
23:57:52 <Mario> 9th in series today
23:58:17 <Kevin L> Long duration too.
23:58:48 <Mario> That's the longest series I am aware of this year
00:00:39 <Mario> Did Penta erupt this morning?
00:01:57 <kc (working)> on gt 0536ns minor
00:03:14 <Mario> Thx kc, looks like it was reported by Jim
00:07:07 <ynpvisitor62> Rift at 1543
00:26:18 <Eric(29)> 769 reported BH eruptions over the last 2 years
00:38:31 <Kevin L> Grotto?
00:39:54 <Kevin L> Seems short for it or a long eruption since it was posted at 1450.
00:43:05 <Eric(29)> Average BH interval over 2 years 22.75 hours

01:00:15 <Eric(29)> In case anyone was sleeping :-D
01:00:34 <Kevin L> zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
01:05:51 <Eric(29)> I now have precipitation by date and BH interval by Date...now I have to figure out how to combine those two into a nice scatter plot.
01:06:20 <Eric(29)> See if there are any obvious groupings or correlations..
01:08:48 <ynpvisitor53> 2nd must be coming...
01:09:27 <ynpvisitor53> not very tall, yet 2nd
01:10:03 <ynpvisitor53> maybe it is saving itself for a 3rd?
01:10:27 <ynpvisitor53> only 10 minutes in...
01:10:44 <Eric(29)> my Grand call was IE
01:10:47 <Eric(29)> sorry
01:10:55 <ynpvisitor53> oh, too bad
01:11:03 <Eric(29)> ya...I think that is it
01:11:05 <ynpvisitor53> oh well, at least a 2 burst
01:11:18 <Kevin L> OF window anyway.
01:11:22 <ynpvisitor53> that was not a very energetic one though
01:12:25 <Kevin L> Think there is a strong wind knocking it down.
01:15:00 <ynpvisitor53> thanks Kevin
01:15:33 <ynpvisitor53> Kevin, did you ever make it to Fountain when you were in the park?
01:17:28 <Kevin L> I was by there once but it was empty.
01:17:45 <Kevin L> I did get a Great Fountain.
01:24:58 <Eric(29)> I plan on seeing water fountain on my next trip :-)
01:29:08 <ynpvisitor53> too bad Kevin, I wish you could have seen it. I am off to there now, have good nights all.
01:31:06 <Kevin L> Had quite a herd with me so it was a bit tough to get around.
