14:39:26 <Dave from B> Due to masny insomniacs last night, we have lots of times on GT...Thanks, Will, Demitri, Jim S!:
14:46:55 <Dave from B> Grand prediction 0755-0840
15:11:39 <ynpvisitor100> hi
15:12:12 <Dave from B> hi, 100
15:15:55 <Dave from B> Daisy 0715ie
15:58:10 <ynpvisitor51> I will say almost 0800 for grand
15:58:24 <ynpvisitor51> very soon on the first or secon turban cycle for it
16:08:38 <ynpvisitor81> Looks like BH moved farther into the dark. :p
16:10:17 <Dave from B> 81, getting closer to the late evening....let's be an optimist!:)
16:10:35 <Dave from B> Morning Jenna and 81
16:10:45 <Andrew> home now
16:10:51 <ynpvisitor81> It will probably stick at 0100 for 3 or 4 days.
16:11:03 <ynpvisitor81> Did you ever get Aurum?
16:11:23 <Dave from B> Hi, Andrew. Did you have a good time?
16:11:27 <Andrew> nope I just gae up and good riddance i got to enjoy the rest of the geyser basin
16:11:51 <Kevin L> You know now why we call it evil!
16:12:28 <Andrew> I had a fantastic time. No F and M and chucked ledge but two weeks made me immersed in the geyser gazing expeience
16:15:21 <Dave from B> Good choices, Andrew!
16:16:26 <Kevin L> The key thing is to have fun. I like to position myself where I can keep an eye on several geysers. Sort of like fishing. You are there in case something comes along, but even if something doesn't you still enjoy yourself.
16:16:32 <Andrew> well after the first fruitless 9 hour day I was personally wanting to come back at the next opportunity and would have, in theory, gotten it but family takes precidence and that day we had instead was great
16:16:51 <Kevin L> Aurum is much easier to catch early in the year.
16:17:21 <Andrew> I beekeeped my brother sat on caste and grand because they would go on top of each other and my mom and dad were over there too
16:17:43 <Andrew> the 3 of them got uncertain and castle and grand and went up to the hill
16:18:12 <Andrew> 1 hour later 8 gazers including me couldnt figure out who to call the water in indee so I just did it
16:18:25 <Kevin L> You want to catch the far out ones while you are younger too. As you get older (which happens quicker than you think it will) you won't be able to get to them as easy.
16:18:50 <Kevin L> Grand
16:18:56 <Dave from B> grand
16:18:59 <Andrew> and I inadvertantly got a bee shower as I was trying to take pictures and called the thing
16:19:10 <Jenna> hi Dave
16:19:16 <Andrew> ran through with micah and it was great!
16:20:23 <Kevin L> You will have to schedule a full moon visit and get some moonbows.
16:21:28 <Andrew> itching to be bak and working next time, although one of my old hgh school math teachers may give me a shot at JMT
16:23:02 <Dave from B> Follow your career dreams.....gazing will always be there
16:23:58 <Kevin L> I have done it a week at a time and had a great run!
16:24:01 <Andrew> well first year n chances at internshis or what have you wont really be possible
16:25:34 <Kevin L> I went myself and with friends, then with wife & kids, now with grandkids.
16:27:57 <Kevin L> Don't get past Grand too much anymore, but still have a great time.
16:30:27 <Kevin L> Guessing Grand was a C
16:31:25 <Kevin L> Yep. D2/G1C
16:36:08 <Kevin L> Did you see the superbowl crab fishing last night Dave?
16:43:14 <Dave from B> No, I missed it. Went for a long walk last night
16:46:21 <Kevin L> It was even funnier the second time I saw it. It should be on at least once more or if you have the on demand function you can play it anytime you want. Trust me, you will enjoy it as a Seahawk fan.
16:55:22 <Kevin L> Lion
16:56:02 <Kevin L> Assuming it must be initial.
17:15:14 <Jenna> OF
17:19:12 <Kevin L> Nice meteor picture: http://spaceweathergallery.com/full_image.php?image_name=Kevin-Lewis-5D3_TL3_LRT_00266_1439302001.jpg&PHPSESSID=0opt1s570j5tusk6g3uk0qdo01
17:55:33 <Jenna> Daisy
18:05:21 <Kevin L> Geese
18:18:01 <Jenna> Lion
18:27:08 <Kevin L> Geese are up front now.
18:27:13 <Dave from B> Morning kc, CO Dave
18:49:48 <kc (working)> mornin
19:10:19 <Dave from B> LC ie
19:37:45 <Kevin L> Lion
20:00:39 <Dave from B> Castle ie
20:13:19 <Kevin L> zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
20:20:55 <Jenna> OF
21:04:51 <Betty> hello all, chat is slow again
22:04:54 <ynpvisitor78> well they killed the bear....
22:05:48 <ynpvisitor21> for sure?
22:18:14 <ynpvisitor78> yep, about the bear, they are looking into zoos for the cubs
22:18:48 <Andrew> to repopulate/
22:20:25 <Andrew> grand in 20-40 minutes
22:20:58 <Dave from B> Didn't realize there had been 6 human deaths in YNP by bears in last 6 years
22:21:50 <ynpvisitor78> that is not that many, there have been no deaths since 2012, right?
22:21:59 <ynpvisitor21> I saw the zoo option. Also saw an option that releases them back in to the wild eventually.
22:23:00 <Dave from B> 78, not sure about the 2012 fact
22:25:37 <ynpvisitor78> yes, I hope the place that can release them, in Canada, can get them. I guess there is a lot of red tape to get that done.
22:26:13 <ynpvisitor78> I am glad some people are finally speaking out about the fact that a bear feeding on a dead human does NOT mean it will happen again.
22:27:26 <Dave from B> 78, what if it aggressively attacked the person?
22:28:30 <ynpvisitor95> One odd this is that Lee Whittlesey's book "Death in Yellowstone" only documents five bear fatalities from the inception of the park through the early 1990s.
22:28:42 <ynpvisitor95> One odd thing.
22:29:24 <Dave from B> 95, that is because bear popualtion has exploded in the opast 20 years
22:31:26 <Dave from B> Time for some fitness and then the fair. Have a great evening everyone!
22:31:44 <ynpvisitor95> Sounds like a good plan Dave.
22:31:58 <Betty> bye Dave
22:44:50 <Betty> Grand
22:45:20 <ynpvisitor95> Grand
22:46:30 <ynpvisitor95> net-lag
23:14:32 <ynpvisitor21> Daisy
23:43:26 <Kevin L> I guess I didn't miss Aurum - unless everyone else did too.
00:12:56 <Graham> LC for you instead Kevin
00:13:23 <Jake> LC Major
00:16:11 <kc (working)> castle
00:16:18 <kc (working)> 16:15
00:19:48 <Graham> Castle looks uncertain
00:20:40 <ynpvisitor41> nah, that's on the other side of the river
00:29:55 <Kevin L> It was a bit tardy....
00:31:43 <ynpvisitor41> the long wait almost put me into depression
00:32:21 <Kevin L> But the eruption is grand...
00:38:42 <Jake> I'd be Lion if I said I didn't like it
00:38:50 <Graham> its in constant eruption
00:38:52 <ynpvisitor41> I'm in a dilemma and don't want to be too convoluted so can't decide it the eruption should be called brilliant or perhaps in Spanish -- bonita.
00:40:18 <Kevin L> It does have a tilt to it
00:40:55 <Graham> and a big steam plume
00:42:14 <Kevin L> Took off like a rocket
00:43:06 <ynpvisitor41> Although I wouln'd call the gusher graceful, perhaps more of a jet .
00:47:38 <Kevin L> 6.4 eq in Solomon Islands
00:56:18 <Jake> so...Beehive before dark, yes?
00:56:59 <Kevin L> It would be nice, but don't bet the rent.

01:42:42 <Graham> had a 5h interval the other day

02:16:10 <Kitt> it is so hot outside the park
02:16:18 <Graham> when do you go back to OF?
02:16:43 <Kitt> probably Labor Day weekend

02:53:31 <ynpvisitor55> if the rain stays away, possibly shorter interval than today!

05:47:06 <Michael> Too dark to see anything without flashlights.
