03:14:00 <ynpvisitor36> my stream does not work here
03:16:11 <ynpvisitor64> On my iPhone it does. Weird.
03:21:54 <ynpvisitor20> Mine is streaming fine on my PC
03:22:18 <ynpvisitor36> I´m on my PC
03:22:34 <ynpvisitor36> it worked on my thone
03:22:41 <ynpvisitor36> phone
03:23:18 <ynpvisitor36> it shows a permanent loading symbol
03:26:09 <ynpvisitor20> Thats strange. Mine has been streaming fine for a couple hours now. I'm sure its something to do with the new updates
03:26:41 <ynpvisitor36> yesterday it worked fine for me
03:41:02 <ynpvisitor86> It looks cold. I guess 11 degrees is cold.
03:58:25 <lc> morning
03:58:44 <lc> streaming still not working for me.
04:02:02 <Betty> morning lc, it is either for me
04:02:56 <Betty> lion ie?
04:03:22 <lc> I get a picture and circle spinning in the center like it is loading.
04:03:46 <Betty> hey, now it works. hit refresh
04:05:26 <lc> refresh don't change anything for me.
04:05:36 <Betty> that was what it looked for me since I got on. But I refreshed the page and it works now
04:05:45 <Betty> bummer
04:07:14 <ynpvisitor86> NPS site working for me on both Firefox and Chrome
04:09:14 <lc> is this the link you are using?
04:14:05 <Betty> Aurum?
04:20:06 <ynpvisitor86> Yes, I am using the link directly off the NPS website
04:21:29 <ynpvisitor86> I click on the arrow, get three dots for a few seconds and then the stream
04:33:46 <lc> nothing seems to work for me.
04:34:21 <lc> refresh does get a different picture but no streaming.
04:34:31 <Betty> that´s too bad, lc
04:34:52 <Betty> and even nps link does not?
04:35:04 <lc> no
04:36:08 <lc> that is the link I have always used
04:37:13 <lc> starting late yesterday that link takes me to the nps page and no streaming.
04:37:33 <lc> I will check back later.

07:32:44 <Kevin L> Stream not working on chat page for me today. It does work on iPad though.
07:36:18 <Jake> not working in chat for me either
07:36:52 <Jake> I see an initial screenshot, but the spinner just keeps spinning
07:38:00 <Jake> Oblong ?
07:38:26 <ynpvisitor2> Mine too. Any suggestions?
07:40:49 <Kevin L> That is what I have. NPS feed works. I guess we have to wait for Eric.
07:41:14 <ynpvisitor20> Mine has been streaming perfectly all morning so far
07:46:10 <Jake> I'm using the NPS page, don't have any suggestions for getting it to work here. Looks like something changed with the stream again which needs an expert
07:51:15 <ynpvisitor2> ipad not working either now. Just a constantly moving circle.
07:52:43 <ynpvisitor35> Similar experience here. Initial images on NPS stream indicate OF just erupted.
07:53:23 <ynpvisitor21> My iPad is working.
07:54:55 <Kent> I just started NPS feed and it is working fine - Chrome,
07:55:51 <ynpvisitor17> is it something regional? why some and not others
07:57:12 <ynpvisitor35> My NPS feed is also working again. Didn't change any settings on my computer.
07:57:56 <Jake> NPS feed hasn't stopped for me at all
07:58:17 <Jake> I found Beehive last night from the capture: 0322 ie
07:58:41 <ynpvisitor2> ty
08:00:56 <ynpvisitor17> good job Jake
08:02:30 <Jake> F&M erupted last night too,
08:02:52 <ynpvisitor35> Checking that out now.
08:03:26 <ynpvisitor85> That was quite a conversation
08:04:03 <Jake> it has to be F&M, steam in that area for 30 minutes is too much for Riverside
08:04:06 <ynpvisitor85> Why does GT have 30 minute duration for some F&M eruptions?
08:04:10 <Jake> plus the really big steam cloud
08:04:44 <ynpvisitor85> 10 min was said quit a bit last night
08:08:02 <Jake> Why does GT have 30 minute duration for some F&M eruptions? because someone entered that the eruption had a duration of 30 minutes
08:08:33 <ynpvisitor85> what about the claim that they are only 10?
08:09:08 <ynpvisitor77> The first big steam is usally about 10 minutes
08:10:02 <Jake> my first-hand experience with 3 eruptions doesn't match 10 minute duration, but the first big phase is ~10 minutes then it pauses for a few minutes and returns
08:10:32 <ynpvisitor77> And that was not seenin last nights steam cloud
08:10:51 <ynpvisitor35> Right. 30 minutes counts the time until the very last gasp of water out of main vent.
08:11:07 <Jake> what wasn't seen, a pause?
08:11:20 <ynpvisitor77> correct, no pause
08:12:26 <ynpvisitor...> I hope someone goes down and checks "that which we can't mention"
08:12:37 <Jake> probably Riverside filling in the pause in F&M or F&M didn't have much of a pause and it was cold and steamy enough to have long-lasting, large steam clouds
08:13:54 <ynpvisitor77> So here is why I entered the time with a (?). It looked like F&M at the start it was big and forceful, but there was no pause (no one said there had to be) and it was excatly at the time I expected Riverside. It ver well may have been both, that is why I also entered Riverside with a (?).
08:15:14 <Jake> I can't say 100% that it was F&M. It could've been another geyser. For it to have been only Riverside would mean that the most consistent geyser in YNP did something super-ultra-rare: a 30 minute eruption.
08:15:48 <Jake> totally fair, DaveM
08:16:54 <ynpvisitor77> I'm hoping bijoumonkey can check the marker.
08:18:24 <ynpvisitor85> All I can say is following the advice for the hard reset of my browser seems to have worked.
08:19:00 <Jake> hey, me too!
08:19:05 <Jake> why didn't I think of that?
08:20:12 <Jake> yeah, hopefully he can get down there to find out. could be an interesting opening weekend if F&M is doing 5-8 days
08:20:47 <ynpvisitor77> agreed
08:24:38 <ynpvisitor85> If anyone does not know what a hard reset is.
08:25:38 <ynp35> Closing my browser and restarting it worked. Watched that steam cloud 10 times on YouTube and still can't figure anything out.
08:30:56 <Kevin L> TY 85. Worked for me!
08:31:43 <ynpvisitor85> I think 77 was the one that posted it last night. I just book marked it so i could remember how.
08:39:15 <Kevin L> It is awesome we have these gazers who not only know what they are doing but take the time that the rest of us get to see the geysers. Thanks to all of them.
08:56:20 <ynpvisitor85> I have bee off looking at other sites. Is that Riverside steam pre or leftover? Or just haze
08:56:59 <ynpvisitor85> I guess haze or my eyes
09:07:55 <Jake> Daisy 1107
09:08:32 <Jake> Riverside 1108
09:09:57 <Jake> Sawmill 1109 ie
09:26:07 <Betty> as it was this morning, streaming doesn´t work on chatpage
09:26:42 <Jake> try a hard reset
09:26:42 <Jake>
09:26:49 <ynpvisitor85> Have you tried the hard restart of your browser?
09:27:35 <Betty> get an error info on your link, Jake
09:27:44 <ynpvisitor85> I am still getting the circle, however I am switching windows and doig other things on an old ibm laptop running mac os so that may be some of my problems.

09:28:19 <Betty> I see the circle

09:30:37 <Jake> Betty, did you try the second link? or Ctrl + F5 in your browser...
09:30:44 <Kevin L> Try the link posted at 1024 Betty
09:31:07 <Betty> had a lag of about 20 sec after you posted, Jake. for official nps cam
09:31:11 <Graham> I hope we missed Grand .... not on GT
09:31:37 <ynpvisitor77> It was very foggy this morning
09:31:39 <Jake> it was really foggy off and on this morning
09:32:07 <Graham> k
09:32:21 <Betty> the hard restart worked, Jake. thanks :-)
09:32:56 <Jake> good! not sure of the cause but seems like most have had to do that to get it to work again
09:35:15 <Betty> this morning I hit refresh every min or so, until I finally got it after being about 1hr on!
09:44:16 <lc> thanks 85 it worked for me..yea....
09:51:11 <lc> this link still don't work for me.
09:54:56 <lc> got work to do outside
09:55:06 <lc> thanks again 85
09:57:44 <Betty> nice lc :-)
10:22:28 <ynpvisitor81> Nice lion puff
10:24:58 <ynpvisitor81> Loks turbany
10:29:54 <Graham> I guess we could be ready for Grand double interval
10:31:07 <ynpvisitor81> LC? Maybe, Maybe Not
10:31:21 <ynpvisitor41> Grand coming up soon...?
10:31:45 <ynpvisitor81> I have not checked GT. It was like 9 hours this morning.
10:32:05 <Graham> yes to lc
10:32:05 <ynpvisitor81> Woo Ho, Betty must be sleeping
10:32:11 <ynpvisitor41> 12 hours plus now
10:32:14 <ynpvisitor81> Or at Church
10:32:30 <ynpvisitor41> church?
10:32:54 <Jake> good luck with Grand....should be a good geyser afternoon!
10:33:04 <ynpvisitor41> this isn't church?
10:33:26 <ynpvisitor81> Well I am not sure what time or day it is. Easter weekend you know
10:34:26 <ynpvisitor81> Nice day like this, we need a Bobcat chasing a Bunny
10:34:50 <ynpvisitor41> Turban?
10:35:53 <ynpvisitor81> A cat is one of my last animals on my list
10:40:47 <ynpvisitor41> great cougar footage on NPS FB today
10:41:11 <Graham> nice it was close to MHS
10:50:07 <ynpvisitor52> Anyone know where in Mammoth the cougar footage came from?
10:53:01 <Graham> nope
10:53:45 <ynpvisitor17> in Mammoth?
10:54:19 <ynpvisitor41> it was filmed with a zoom lens
10:54:54 <Graham> OF
10:55:19 <ynpvisitor52> Thanks, I'm fond of the the area above the upper terraces just wondered if it was in that direction. Was the kill a deer?
10:55:21 <ynpvisitor41> guess I am lagging
10:55:45 <ynpvisitor41> looked more like an elk carcass to me
10:58:07 <ynpvisitor41> so I will know to look for Grand if I am lagging, that was about 15 seconds
10:58:22 <ynpvisitor81> If it was in Wyoming, could have been one of the extra elk the wolves killed for fun
10:58:48 <Graham> the video is on the YNP Facebook page
10:58:57 <Betty> did not know that wolves kill for fun
10:59:04 <ynpvisitor41> not sure they are having fun 81, it is too bad they have that aspect in them
10:59:05 <Graham> says it was an elk and they think the mountain lion took it down
10:59:39 <ynpvisitor41> unfortunately Betty, sometimes they kill way beyond what they need for food
10:59:50 <ynpvisitor41> the biggest issue with ranchers and their sheep
10:59:57 <Graham> Turban?
11:00:05 <Betty> k
11:00:17 <Betty> hi Biddle
11:00:45 <ynpvisitor17> the report I read about the WY kills was that the "surplus" killing was very rare
11:00:55 <ynpvisitor52> The YNP Instagram feed had an interesting cougar vid of cougar and kits.
11:01:04 <ynpvisitor81> Wolves also do not like houses built by pigs.
11:01:18 <ynpvisitor81> It has been very well documented
11:01:38 <ynpvisitor41> not so rare, yet frustrating as it really takes wolves out of the ecosystem, as they are shot if they do it to sheep
11:02:30 <ynpvisitor41> The kits were almost grown, yet great footage the other day
11:02:46 <ynpvisitor81> Daves cabin looks like it is almost ready for him
11:02:48 <Betty> nice snow pillow
11:03:07 <Graham> snow melting off the roofs
11:03:53 <ynpvisitor52> the snowman has become a snow slump : (
11:05:05 <Graham> he is wasting away
11:05:10 <Biddle> Hi Betty, (sorry for the delay)
11:05:22 <Biddle> More like a snow bump
11:05:23 <ynpvisitor81> Almost recognizable
11:06:49 <Kent> That video is so cool. Totally envious.
11:07:32 <ynpvisitor52> Have there been bobcat sightings in the Upper Basin?
11:08:18 <Graham> not on cam
11:08:20 <ynpvisitor81> Have there been bunny sightings in the upper basin?
11:08:26 <Graham> or otherwise that i know of
11:08:47 <Graham> any more mooses?
11:09:16 <ynpvisitor81> Only bobct sighting was I think last winter by a snow coach on the way in from west someplace. Least that I know of.
11:09:53 <ynpvisitor52> there was a good video of bunny verses snack at Mammouth some time back.
11:10:16 <Graham> lots of sightings this winter near 7 mile bridge
11:10:18 <ynpvisitor52> or snake instead of snack
11:12:22 <ynpvisitor81> Depends on the point of view. A snake could be a snack
11:12:59 <ynpvisitor52> but unlikely for the bunny
11:12:59 <ynpvisitor81> Or a full meal, or the bunny could be the snack.
11:13:21 <ynpvisitor17> there were tons of bobcat sightings this winter from snowcoach photogs
11:13:37 <ynpvisitor81> One of those Florida snakes could make a bunny a snack.
11:15:06 <ynpvisitor81> I hope there are no kids visiting the page with all the talk of bunnys
11:15:42 <Graham> haha they are about to bite the heads off a lot of bunnies and peeps this weekend
11:17:05 <ynpvisitor81> But that is different.
11:22:34 <ynpvisitor17> see the comparison shots of MHS vs Canyon snow on the FB page - great comparison
11:23:45 <ynpvisitor81> Bee must be getting ready to go after I need to leave.
11:26:11 <ynpvisitor41> that is typical 17, a normal winter
11:29:33 <ynpvisitor41> Mammoth is the banana belt
11:31:28 <ynpvisitor17> you should have warned me not to start reading the comments on the cougar video - gees
11:32:09 <Graham> the peril of social media
11:32:14 <Graham> or antisocial media
11:32:29 <ynpvisitor17> that's 10 minutes I will never get back. ugh.
11:32:57 <ynpvisitor81> That is why I avoid facebutt
11:33:50 <ynpvisitor17> the geyser stuff is good on FB - no bison politics in talking about hot water!
11:33:58 <ynpvisitor41> it is great for photos and videos, like Graham's post today
11:34:33 <Graham> can't get into a flaming war about Cherry Blossoms
11:34:41 <ynpvisitor17> it's like "the new geyser listserve"
11:35:06 <Graham> ofmcourse we do have geyser naming and history wars
11:36:28 <ynpvisitor41> there may be some parking space wars about the blossoms today
11:36:48 <ynpvisitor17> all part of the fun
11:37:19 <Graham> yeah I went to East Potomac Park, there are usually spaces there and just a 10 minute walk to the Tidal Basin and the road is lined with trees
11:37:37 <Graham> no fun trying to drive on the Tidal Basin side
11:38:15 <ynpvisitor81> You could go to the source and travel to Japan.
11:38:34 <Graham> they will probably have about 1/4 of Yellowstones annual visitors this weekend
11:39:17 <Graham> its quicker to find a parking space in DC 81
11:39:30 <ynpvisitor41> a million visitors just this weekend?
11:39:31 <ynpvisitor41> wow
11:39:40 <ynpvisitor81> Grand
11:39:49 <ynpvisitor41> oh good, I can wait for it
11:39:58 <Betty> nice start
11:40:33 <ynpvisitor41> nice start
11:40:38 <ynpvisitor41> sometimes I do not mind lags
11:41:58 <ynpvisitor81> The circle
11:43:22 <Graham> theres only one weekend in the peak bloom period, so everyone goes then
11:44:05 <Graham> was like the summer boardwalks when I was there at 0900
11:44:31 <Graham> was bust at 0700 too
11:44:36 <Graham> busy
11:45:44 <ynpvisitor81> Does that quailify as a second?
11:46:06 <Graham> still on first burst
11:46:22 <ynpvisitor81> Who's on first?
11:46:32 <Graham> still
11:46:46 <ynpvisitor81> I don't remember him
11:53:14 <ynpvisitor41> glad you got there early Graham
11:53:19 <ynpvisitor41> photos were awesome
11:54:30 <Graham> thanks, didnt spend a lot of time on them this year since it was a bit cool out there, but they are always pretty
11:56:47 <Betty> person at bee
11:57:30 <Graham> probably a bit early
11:58:05 <Betty> he walks by
11:58:42 <Graham> have to be on bear watch now
11:58:46 <Betty> steamy sawmill runoff
11:58:55 <Betty> :-)
11:59:15 <Graham> i have not seen a bear on the cvam for years
11:59:52 <Betty> only one I saw was the one kc catched. 2 years ago?
12:00:04 <Graham> the one in the tree?
12:00:08 <Betty> yep
12:00:28 <Graham> didnt see that one
12:00:32 <Graham> other than the capture
12:00:38 <Betty> it was fun
12:00:52 <Graham> maybe this year will be the year we get more mooses
12:01:40 <Betty> not here on cam, do you?
12:01:55 <Graham> only one seen on the cam
12:02:08 <Betty> really? Here?
12:02:14 <Betty> wow
12:02:35 <Graham>
12:04:03 <ynpvisitor41> very rare occasion
12:04:32 <Graham> there are some older videos when a family of moose were around OF, 1990s?
12:04:41 <Betty> sooo cool, nice catch Graham! Congrats :-)
12:04:57 <Graham> yep, it was my moose
12:05:16 <Graham> no mountain lions tho :(
12:05:34 <Betty> I would never have expected a moose in UGB
12:05:39 <ynpvisitor17> ya, saw mooses up by Aurum in the 90s
12:05:51 <Betty> amazing
12:08:10 <ynpvisitor41> every once in a while, there are some about, yet usually Madison north
12:08:15 <ynpvisitor81> Sure it was not a bison with long leggs?
12:08:17 <ynpvisitor41> or close to South Entrance
12:08:26 <Betty> haha, 81
12:08:54 <Betty> I saw two moose at Elk creek
12:09:19 <Betty> and one at sylvan pass
12:09:50 <ynpvisitor41> Nice, about Sylvan pass
12:11:15 <Betty> east of Sylvan Pass, near the East entrance
12:12:39 <Kevin L> I saw a moose in person once by Lion and on the cam once.
12:20:15 <ynpvisitor41> time for Lion again soon
12:20:33 <ynpvisitor41> and hopefully Daisy very soon

15:08:27 <Maureen> would be fun to get Aurum
15:08:32 <Graham> so does Lion
15:08:45 <Maureen> yes, I am surprised it had not started yet
15:08:47 <Betty> all 3 are due
15:08:55 <Graham> may have missed it, was zoomed in on Lion and BH for a while
15:09:49 <Graham> and OF isnt helping with the view
15:10:20 <Maureen> Lion ini would be very nice now with sun on the hill
15:10:53 <Graham> yep. you have nice blue sky in West?
15:11:08 <Maureen> yes, similar day today
15:11:14 <Maureen> so many bison out of the park already
15:11:35 <Graham> where are they?
15:12:27 <Maureen> coming out of Madison river drainage
15:12:39 <Maureen> maybe 2.5 mi from town
15:12:51 <Maureen> I even saw some out at Hebgen Lake
15:13:04 <Maureen> calves already though I have not seen one yet
15:13:50 <Graham> spring is coming
