05:14:21 <DGInc> Hello Kitt
05:14:42 <Kitt> F & M days were the hardest to wait for bee
05:15:13 <Dave from B> Lion is also ready to go
05:15:15 <Dave from B> Morning Kitt
05:16:01 <Kitt> You had to plan your day carefully and be ready to respond to splashing in Main
05:16:24 <DGInc> i see
05:17:15 <ynpvisitor47> Sprinkler ie
05:17:29 <Kitt> It seemed to wait until I was on geyser hill or back at my cabin
05:17:49 <DGInc> it is currently a sort of F&M day, it's 4 days ago since it last erupted
05:18:22 <Kitt> it has been liking 4 to 5 days
05:18:28 <David A pdx> oh! good morning!
05:18:35 <DGInc> Good morning David

05:19:02 <DGInc> I'm fine, and you?
05:19:11 <David A pdx> doing very well!
05:20:42 <Art (working)> Let's hope it stays that way, our spring trip it was 4 days before and after we left but 8-9 days while we were there :(
05:21:03 <DGInc> :(
05:22:36 <Kitt> that is often how spring works
05:22:49 <DGInc> true
05:28:53 <Dave from B> Daisy 0728ie
05:29:09 <DGInc> yep
05:29:39 <DGInc> why is there so much lag between me and this chatroom and GT?
05:30:08 <David A pdx> I have the same problem DGI... 30-60 seconds...
05:30:36 <DGInc> phew... I'm not the only one with this problem
05:30:37 <David A pdx> sawmill is going!
05:30:43 <David A pdx> still.
05:31:17 <David A pdx> recently Betty had better connection that I did...
05:32:51 <Kitt> indy ?
05:33:45 <Dave from B> I don't see it
05:33:52 <Kitt> oh I see, it is white sinter
05:34:26 <Kitt> not use to this view
05:34:53 <DGInc> the sun shines on Beehive
05:35:00 <DGInc> maybe that's why
05:35:12 <DGInc> OF
05:35:23 <David A pdx> Anemone too
05:35:50 <DGInc> Little?
05:36:17 <DGInc> stupid 502 Bad Gteway
05:36:25 <DGInc> Gateway* and stupid lag
05:36:51 <DGInc> and... well... I'll stop
05:37:47 <DGInc> .
05:37:48 <DGInc> .
05:37:49 <DGInc> .
05:37:50 <DGInc> .
05:37:51 <David A pdx> I have TV on fiber optic and on antenna... and there is a lag there too. I can walk downstairs and hear the same thing I just heard upstairs...
05:37:51 <DGInc> .
05:37:53 <DGInc> .
05:38:24 <DGInc> FALSE alarm.... Big splash of Beehive
05:38:39 <David A pdx> couldn't tell - I just saw some brief fountaining in the Anemone area.
05:39:16 <David A pdx> as OF was starting up - on my delayed reception.
05:39:36 <DGInc> you missed nothing
05:39:42 <David A pdx> LOL
05:41:03 <DGInc> funny thing is that my stream is almost always in sync (1 to 5 seconds behind, close enough)
05:42:47 <DGInc> big anemone
05:43:17 <David A pdx> I have a short lag after you this a.m. DGI...
05:44:49 <DGInc> you can also reload the stream every 5 to 10 minutes to prevent being behind
05:45:01 <DGInc> some splashing in Beehive
05:49:55 <Dave from B> BH waiting for Betty or Kevin?
05:50:09 <DGInc> probably waiting for me to leave
05:52:33 <David A pdx> big anemone again
05:56:31 <David A pdx> is that splashing at Improbable ?
05:56:46 <DGInc> where?
05:57:12 <David A pdx> Just to the left of OF vent, near bw. you can see steaming...
05:57:41 <ynpvisitor17> from this view just to the right
05:57:43 <David A pdx> sorry. right of OF vent.
05:57:51 <David A pdx> yep. to right. I'm dyslexic...
05:58:09 <DGInc> I see what you mean
05:58:21 <David A pdx> just below the couple.
05:58:23 <DGInc> fountain-ish bursting
05:58:30 <David A pdx> yep.
05:58:43 <Art (working)> another little splash
05:59:08 <David A pdx> i'm glad it not just my computer!
05:59:22 <David A pdx> larger splash
05:59:29 <DGInc> is possible it could be Surge aswell?
06:00:59 <David A pdx> it's below bw, whereas Surge is above (?)
06:01:57 <DGInc> hmm... it can't be Cascade either
06:01:59 <DGInc> .
06:02:00 <DGInc> .
06:02:01 <DGInc> .
06:02:02 <DGInc> .
06:02:03 <DGInc> .
06:02:06 <DGInc> Now for real
06:02:08 <David A pdx> Indy
06:04:42 <Kitt> do you mean Improbable?
06:05:13 <Kitt> I don't know where this Surge is
06:06:07 <David A pdx> Surge is above Spume and Plume.
06:06:16 <Kitt> here comes Andrew
06:06:29 <David A pdx> that's a rhymer Spume and Plume!
06:07:41 <David A pdx> location of Improbable: https://www.flickr.com/photos/godsfireworks/22805189530/in/photolist-AKdyjW-keUZH5-mrGrEw-mrF9sB-mrEJvk-mrFitc-mrGyom-mrGxJf-mrGx85-KiRRL1-JwN8Bt-mrEAZi-mrEAGe-mrFbke-mrFavD-mrFacx-mrF9RH-mrEyjt-mrEXeg-mrGZm7-mrFGQH-mrFG5e-mrFEUP-mrFDSt-mrFCYe-mrFCH4-mrFCrH-mrGUjJ-mrGU3G-mrGTLj-mrGTph-mrFB7t-mrGSRy-mrEXUe-mrFwrM-mrEVjp-mrEUuD-mrFtKz-mrET8k-mrERHg-mrGGtu-mrGFHw-mrGF7G-mrEP2
06:08:13 <Kitt> I know where Improbable is
06:08:16 <David A pdx> LC
06:08:28 <DGInc> then it was Improbable, my bad
06:08:38 <David A pdx> no prob
06:09:46 <David A pdx> LC is pretty weak so far
06:09:47 <DGInc> Report it to GT?
06:09:54 <David A pdx> yep
06:10:17 <DGInc> I had it about Improbable, but LC is also fine
06:11:12 <David A pdx> i'd probably just make a note of it ???
06:11:21 <DGInc> for LC?
06:11:32 <David A pdx> what about the Anemone?
06:12:32 <David A pdx> LC is very anemic
06:12:39 <DGInc> I find it quite a poor reason to not report it, but some people find it that it erupts too frequently and is too small to be reported... I don't agree with it though
06:12:46 <ynpvisitor56> The gazers up there would have noticed Improbable
06:13:22 <David A pdx> agreed DGI
06:13:28 <DGInc> the reason was for the Anemones, not for the others
06:13:48 <ynpvisitor17> Improbable has those small bursts all of the time.
06:14:01 <Kitt> wind direction not great today for cam
06:14:13 <DGInc> a note wouldn't be that bad though David
06:14:33 <Kitt> what are you noting?
06:15:09 <David A pdx> 50 years from now when we aren't watching someone may ask, what was that particular feature doing, and if there aren't any notes, who would know?!
06:15:45 <DGInc> that's true
06:16:01 <David A pdx> LC still has weak fountain
06:16:11 <ynpvisitor30> thanks for the text
06:16:12 <ynpvisitor56> I got lost too, Kiitt. I think the conversation went from Improbable to Surge to Little Cub...
06:16:30 <David A pdx> running the gamut!
06:16:32 <Kitt> oh
06:16:57 <DGInc> we are now talking about Improbable, not LC or Surge
06:18:04 <ynpvisitor27> maybe you should just give an approx. height if you feel the need to comment. "Weak fountain" doesn't explain much to someone looking for historical information.
06:18:14 <Kitt> it boils regularly and has been reaching heights of 2 to sometimes 4 feet
06:18:37 <Kitt> Climb Bee
06:18:42 <David A pdx> very true.
06:18:42 <Kitt> yay
06:18:43 <ynpvisitor34> BH 0818
06:18:43 <DGInc> we're off!
06:19:13 <ynpvisitor34> 17 minute indy
06:19:39 <DGInc> let's see if there are some running people
06:19:42 <ynpvisitor56> I think the Sput covers the Improbable boiling for the historic record
06:20:19 <David A pdx> Sput ?
06:21:09 <ynpvisitor56> Bi-monthly magazine of GOSA
06:21:10 <Kitt> I bet they are getting pretty rainbows from Plume corner
06:21:14 <ynpvisitor17> The GOSA newsletter
06:21:14 <ynpvisitor34> http://gosa.org/store/?product=the-geyser-gazer-sput-subscription
06:21:49 <DGInc> looks like Indy has quit
06:22:03 <David A pdx> Thanks!
06:22:34 <Kitt> and now that the Hill has released the gazers, hopefully they will get an event cycle soon at F & M
06:22:53 <DGInc> I hope so too for them!
06:23:40 <DGInc> good bye Beehive
06:23:45 <DGInc> see you next time
06:28:35 <DGInc> looks like Oblong
06:32:01 <DGInc> keep going Lion, keep going
06:32:34 <DGInc> Lion ini
06:33:37 <DGInc> that's one high eruption :)
06:35:45 <DGInc> and not a bad interval between two series, only 12 hours
06:38:56 <DGInc> hello Jenna
06:39:04 <Jenna> hi
06:39:17 <DGInc> hello kc
06:41:15 <kc (working)> mornin
07:28:19 <kc (working)> artemisia 0924 gt
07:41:57 <Dave from B> kc, you have any trips planned to OF this year? next?
07:49:31 <ynpvisitor95> Lion
08:05:07 <Eric> Morning all
08:05:13 <Dave from B> Morning Eric
08:05:18 <Eric> Hi Dave
08:05:19 <Kevin L> Hi
08:05:25 <Eric> and Kevin :-D
08:05:46 <Eric> Looks like a nice day at the UGB 70 @ 10am
08:05:51 <Dave from B> Morning Kevin, Jake
08:05:57 <Eric> Hey Jake
08:06:13 <Dave from B> And Jenna, kc
08:06:54 <Jenna> morning Dave
08:07:01 <kc (working)> mornin
08:08:55 <Jake> morning all
08:09:38 <Jake> I see my certificate pushed Beehive to the brink of insanity. A nearly 16 hour interval!!!
08:10:19 <Eric> you are certifiable Jake?
08:10:52 <Dave from B> haha Eric
08:10:55 <Jake> depends on the state I'm in. Not sure about Utah ;)
08:14:24 <Eric> would have been a great morning to catch a BH @ 8am
08:15:15 <Kevin L> Daisy
08:15:41 <Eric> Nice
08:15:53 <Eric> You need a 4 hour window to predict Grand right now
08:16:31 <Dave from B> Eric, you make any final decision on Labor Day?
08:16:40 <Eric> Nope
08:17:04 <Dave from B> Grands ints are all over the place..good place to gert a tan
08:17:51 <Eric> I see geysers.net has a window of 3.5 hours
08:18:22 <Eric> I haven't paid attention, are those windows variable between eruptions?
08:18:28 <Eric> or is that a constant?
08:21:18 <Dave from B> I now NPS, on occasion, will change their window size
08:24:20 <Dave from B> know*
08:26:28 <kc (working)> not sure black was the wisest apparel choice
08:27:42 <Dave from B> Supposed to be 99 in Blgs today. Heavy hot winds coming late this afternoon and evening with dry lightning. This could be a bad day in Montana.
08:27:55 <Eric> yikes
08:28:02 <Eric> don't look forward to those fire reports
08:29:19 <Kevin L> It is really strange. Our humidity is 15% higher than OF right now.
08:29:35 <Dave from B> 1 death and 14 homes lost in Hamilton fire as of last night.
08:33:29 <Kevin L> The visible from GOES W last night was interesting. The ground was dark, but the smoke plumes were high enough they caught the light.
08:35:51 <Dave from B> Hi, Betty
08:35:53 <Betty> morning all
08:36:03 <Betty> hi Dave from B
08:36:08 <Eric> Hi Betty
08:36:15 <Betty> hi Eric
08:36:23 <Kevin L> Abend
08:36:38 <Betty> morgen Kevin L
08:37:36 <Betty> all geysers used up?
08:38:18 <Kevin L> Most of them.
08:40:01 <Betty> OF
08:40:01 <Eric> OF
08:40:06 <Betty> a geyser
08:40:07 <Eric> bah
08:40:15 <Betty> hehe
08:41:45 <Eric> well, there is your geyser for today betty
08:42:05 <Betty> uhm, only one? :-(
08:42:30 <Betty> looks like a beautiful day
08:42:36 <Eric> no...you get lion in about 7 minutes
08:42:46 <Betty> whoo
08:43:17 <Betty> hope there will be one more in the series
08:43:31 <Eric> I say yes :-D
08:43:53 <Betty> good
08:45:43 <Eric> I was wondering if the time between ini and second eruption had any barring on number of eruptions in the series...but looking at the data, it seems to have no meaning.
08:53:12 <Jake> an interesting take. I have the impression that the ini -> 2nd interval is more a function of what those intervals have been recently
08:53:28 <Betty> LC
08:53:33 <Betty> hi Jake
08:53:45 <Eric> Did Lion go?
08:56:07 <Jake> Hi Betty
08:56:09 <Jake> Lion now
08:56:12 <Betty> there we go
08:56:33 <Betty> you were right, Eric :-)
08:56:49 <Betty> nice eruption
09:24:52 <kc (working)> turbans 1101 1123
09:49:28 <Betty> Lion
10:02:45 <Kevin L> OF window. This will probably trigger Grand.
10:11:06 <ynpvisitor56> .
10:11:51 <Kevin L> Turban 1204
10:14:51 <Dave from B> Over 7.5 hours already for Grand
10:19:07 <Kevin L> of
10:19:24 <Dave from B> FYI, shuttle use in Glacier is WAY UP this year and waits have been up to 45 minutes at times.
10:19:55 <Dave from B> Nice to see people getting out of their cars. Now, NPS needs more buses to lower wait times.
10:21:26 <Kevin L> Close to Turban
10:43:50 <Betty> rand
10:43:59 <Betty> Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
10:44:50 <Betty> Lion was heating up
10:45:08 <Kevin L> You have been anging arou nd Dave too mych Betty
10:45:51 <Betty> ure I id, I now

10:48:24 <Betty>
10:49:53 <Kevin L> :)
10:50:20 <Kevin L> You could have just said "9" Betty!
10:50:44 <Betty> lol. true :-D
10:50:51 <Betty> hi Biddle
10:51:27 <Betty> I thought you would like the ö
10:51:30 <Biddle> I am very lagged
10:51:52 <Betty> hit refresh
10:54:03 <Kevin L> Probably going to be a 1b
10:54:58 <Kevin L> I was looking at your Grandmother's train Biddle. It would be fun to see what she could do with the materials available now.
10:59:59 <Biddle> She was a very talented artist
11:03:02 <Kevin L> I could tell. They have some really good tools and materials now that she would have been awesome with. She did a very good job on the buildings.
11:04:11 <Biddle> She used to do paintings and stuff too, she was quite the painter
11:07:14 <Kevin L> One fun note is the buildings are German. If you look at the roofs on some of them you will see boards with rocks on them. In the Alps they do this since the nails back then would rust out and the roofing would come off. They put the boards on and weighted them with rocks to prevent that.
11:08:08 <Biddle> Awesome! i hadn't noticed that.
11:12:03 <Biddle> indy?
11:12:05 <Biddle> nope
11:12:38 <Kevin L> BH was earlier today.
11:13:03 <Biddle> rats, I missed it.
11:14:45 <Kevin L> Also some of the buildings she has on that are still made today: http://www.eurorailhobbies.com/product.asp?mn=6&ca=35&sc=N&stock=K37031
11:38:11 <Art (working)> Lion?
11:38:18 <Kevin L> Yep
11:38:23 <Biddle> yup
11:38:35 <Art (working)> Squinting at my monitor ;)
11:38:51 <Biddle> need a bigger moniter :P
11:39:21 <Betty> woot
11:41:39 <Kevin L> Should have gone to this setting when it first started.
11:42:39 <Betty> I think I saw a splashing before we went to Grand
11:45:01 <Kevin L> Probably did. I sure miss the UGB cam.
11:45:15 <Betty> me too
11:46:58 <Biddle> sorry, what was the UGB cam?
11:47:41 <Betty> a static cam withh the view over geyser hill
11:48:43 <Betty> you had a chance to see the hill while lookig down basin
11:50:09 <Kevin L> It was mounted next to the streaming cam.
11:50:32 <Kevin L> You could see from Dome to Daisy.
11:59:18 <Betty> OF
12:11:04 <Betty> LC ie
12:16:09 <Kevin L> This is what N scale looked like when I started Biddle: http://www.irwinsjournal.com/a1g/a1glocos/MWs64cat.jpg
12:19:28 <Kevin L> They were diecast and not very detailed. A German company (Arnold Rapido) picked up the scale and made improvements including a somewhat automatic coupler which they allowed any manufacturer to use. Roco started making them and Atlas picked up the scale having Roco do US models for them.
12:23:12 <Betty> Lion
12:23:30 <Kevin L> That was quick!
12:23:58 <Betty> 45 min
12:24:08 <Betty> and a minor
12:26:28 <ynpvisitor92> Lion has been putting on a show today. The Ini was at 0832.
12:26:58 <Kevin L> It has been a great series.
12:27:13 <Betty> go NG
12:27:22 <Kevin L> :)
12:43:12 <Betty> Lion
12:46:15 <Kevin L> :)
12:46:23 <Kevin L> lc too!
12:46:24 <Jake> and LC!
12:46:59 <Betty> almost 4 minutes
12:47:00 <Jake> nice series from LC today! show it some love
12:47:25 <Kevin L> It has had a great show today.
12:47:53 <ynpvisitor92> LC always puts on a great show
12:48:12 <Betty> Lion series is good too
12:48:33 <Betty> LC is great
12:48:34 <Kevin L> Aurum put on a great show too until it went dormant.
12:49:09 <Kevin L> Plume, but it almost fits Aurum too.
12:50:04 <Betty> autocorrect, Kevin?
12:50:20 <Kevin L> I'll blame this one on the heat.
12:50:28 <Betty> :-p
12:51:27 <Kevin L> .
12:51:49 <Kevin L> It has cooled off to the low 100s now though.
12:52:56 <Kevin L> Odd thing is humidity is 17% higher here than at the park!
13:21:56 <Dave from B> Time to get out of here. Have a great evening everyone!
13:22:51 <Betty> enjoy your evening. bye, Dave
13:23:05 <Kevin L> Bye Dave.
13:26:14 <ynpvisitor92> Does Lion have anything left this series?
13:26:52 <Kevin L> It may. Been a long series.
13:33:31 <Kevin L> A short.
13:33:39 <Kevin L> .
13:51:14 <Betty> LC
14:04:16 <ge (working)> hello to all.
14:04:57 <Betty> hi ge
14:05:40 <Eric> hey ge
14:06:25 <Kevin L> Hi.
14:06:59 <Kevin L> We may have missed a Daisy.
14:09:13 <Betty> I call it a day. Night all
14:09:36 <ge (working)> bye!
14:10:00 <ge (working)> Waiting for a F&M cloud
14:10:01 <Kevin L> Auf weider god bye bye.
14:10:25 <Eric> night betty
14:14:13 <Kevin L> Well this is a new one. Internet ads have ranged from model railroads to pull ups to depends to walkers. Now I have one for a full sized backhoe! I wonder what they have for my demographics.
14:15:35 <ge (working)> :)
14:22:59 <Kevin L> Guess we didn't miss it.
14:28:49 <Kevin L> Looks like Castle ie
14:54:19 <ynpvisitor75> F&M clock is ticking - wonder how things are going down there..
