05:45:47 <Joe> Hi Dave from home
05:46:36 <Dave from home> Good morning Joe
05:47:41 <Joe> If the trend continues on the Tantalus Creek gauges then Steamboat maybe doing minors already but that is a big if
05:48:21 <Joe> That is a very premature wag but you never know
05:48:59 <Dave from home> Something at Norris was pumping water into the creek
05:49:08 <Betty> morning Dave
05:49:28 <Dave from home> Hi Betty
05:51:49 <ynpvisitor115> I haven't see any publish correlation or statements to back up that SB minors spike the TC monitor
05:52:26 <ynpvisitor115> The minors put out so little water compared to the size of the drainage and the distance from SB to the monitor
05:52:27 <CraigC> morning folks
05:52:50 <CraigC> and the temps didn't drop as much during the night either, right?
05:52:59 <CraigC> In Tantalus
05:53:32 <ynpvisitor115> Just saying it is most likely caused by overflow or output in another feature, is a possibliity as well
05:53:40 <Joe> correct, as I said it is a wag.
05:55:15 <Dave from home> 115, is there a good map of norris online that shows gauge location?
05:56:05 <CraigC> Dave, Scott posted a map on FB GG a few weeks back, maybe more
05:56:37 <Dave from home> I'll look for it
05:57:48 <Joe> 115, in the last three SB the flow and temp were both up for hours before eruption, indicating allmost continuous minors, that is just a guess as no one was there
05:57:49 <CraigC> I think it might be buried in a post about SB
06:01:52 <Joe> Daisy
06:06:36 <Dave from home> Gauge/weir is 1.2 miles from Steamboat
06:07:28 <Dave from home> Udo has stated that Echinus pumps a steady stream into the creek unless it is erupting
06:08:03 <Dave from home> This is from a DEc 18 FB thread on GG
06:08:43 <CraigC> I couldn't find that map
06:14:06 <Dave from home> Yeah. It's probably buried somewhere
06:17:04 <LindaG> Good morning all
06:19:18 <Dave from home> Good morning Linda

06:53:22 <Betty> my static views may have been in between

06:55:41 <LindaG> The last couple of days we've been debating this aurum thing. 😉
06:56:29 <Joe> Pump puff at 0850:54
06:57:19 <Betty> no Aurum on your pic, Linda
06:57:28 <LindaG> Ok
06:58:28 <LindaG> Betty do you have a screenprint of one? Some one suggested you might.
06:58:58 <LindaG> I've seen through the webcam but static is tough.
07:07:40 <LindaG> Bee seems to be steaming and you can see a little bit on static
07:09:39 <LindaG> No water on indy but steam
07:09:40 <Betty> maybe you see it here: http://geysercam.xyz/ugb/2018/11/11162018.html?t=66.378769

07:23:10 <LindaG> Indy?
07:23:12 <LindaG> .
07:23:24 <Betty> looks like
07:23:36 <Betty> at least on static :-)

07:25:00 <Betty> morning Kevin
07:25:05 <Kevin L™🌵> I was training for the lasst one.
07:25:12 <LindaG> Darn OF
07:25:17 <Kevin L™🌵> Graham will miss this one.
07:26:11 <LindaG> You can really see on static now
07:26:45 <LindaG> Hi kevin
07:27:00 <LindaG> Bee
07:27:10 <Kevin L™🌵> Morning
07:27:38 <Betty> another short indy
07:28:12 <LindaG> At 9:22 it was steaming a little
07:29:55 <LindaG> Where is everyone
07:30:07 <Betty> asleep ;-)
07:30:47 <Joe> or all in church
07:31:01 <ynpvisitor111> bummer, fast indy
07:34:12 <Joe> Betty, your 1242 Aurum on 11/14 also shows nicely on streaming threemin eariler (static is 3min off)
07:34:17 <LindaG> So I have a question about indy. At 9:09 it has some steam coming out. Is it Indy when that happens or does it have to have water. I didnt want to jump the gun on it.
07:39:38 <Betty> as I know you can see water rising in indy´s cave prior to the eruption. On cold days you can see it slightly steaming when that happens. but indy start is when it is splashing
07:40:56 <Joe> Linda 0909 was quickly covered by Of steam, started clearing 0918 but not clear enough until 0922 when there was indy for sure
07:41:00 <Betty> I don´t know if it ever happened that the indy cave filled with water, and dropped again without eruption of indy
07:41:35 <Kevin L™🌵> I have never seen that, BUT it IS a geyser.
07:42:43 <Betty> at least it is very cool when you stare at that tiny little hole, see it filling with water and hear the call "water in indicator!" :-)
07:43:04 <Joe> Grand and west triplet in basin reports today
07:43:21 <Kevin L™🌵> I like the slurp sound although it isn't as loud as it used to be...
07:44:39 <Betty> first people on static
07:44:50 <Betty> and streaming :-D
07:45:24 <LindaG> Betty, This is the other screenprint from tthecaurum you called this morning http://imgur.com/gallery/XoZPKbn
07:46:12 <Betty> hard to tell on this one too
07:47:23 <LindaG> Oh well. The fact that static is only every minute, makes it difficult. I did see it o what you supplied. Thx
07:51:41 <LindaG> So bee moved to being breakfast bee
07:52:17 <Kevin L™🌵> Honey on the biscuits?
07:54:49 <Joe> Pump on static
08:07:46 <LindaG> 😊
08:09:33 <LindaG> Joe, missed pump 🙁
08:11:27 <Joe> it puffs every now and then the next static caught it
08:17:16 <Betty> Giant note
08:24:33 <CraigC> cool to have someone with boots-on-the-ground
08:43:08 <Kevin L™🌵> Ad I bet those boots are cool right about now.
08:45:14 <Betty> Daisy ie

08:57:57 <CraigC> where is he today?
08:57:58 <Joe> I hope he reports much steam from SB when he passes it on the way to the basin
08:58:23 <Kevin L™🌵> He is on his way down from Gardnier
08:59:42 <Joe> I hope he reports much steam from SB when he passes it on the way to the basini am probably all wet, but I think SB is having minors allready
08:59:45 <CraigC> to UGB?
09:00:39 <Kevin L™🌵> Yes
09:00:55 <Joe> basin I **
09:03:25 <CraigC> well I hope he entertains us with a good dance or something

10:03:15 <CraigC> look just above the trees to the right of OF, is that steam or just clouds?
10:06:31 <Joe> might be Solitary?
10:11:37 <Dave from home> Graham might be in this crowd
10:12:22 <Dave from home> I would expect Graham to go to afternoon Grand via Lion/NG
10:13:36 <Joe> We just had a NG so his report of the area will be interesting.

10:33:15 <Betty> hi, how do the benches look like?
10:33:31 <Kevin L™🌵> Well go see what NG looks like!
10:33:59 <Joe> NG was 1121 Graham
10:36:26 <ynpvisitor3> Just leaving SL. Will wave at the cam.
10:36:48 <Betty> have fun
10:36:51 <ynpvisitor3> Picture looks like Grotto is Mara5honing, has there been steam there all morning?
10:37:17 <Kevin L™🌵> There is a Giant note on GT
10:37:26 <ynpvisitor27> Don't see any Grotto steam
10:37:35 <ynpvisitor3> Thanks for NG but I wish it had been later. I talked to K
10:41:39 <Dave from home> Thanks for the Mammoth update Graham
10:42:10 <ynpvisitor27> how was your flight?
10:43:43 <ynpvisitor27> there is Graham
10:43:57 <ynpvisitor27> wave back
10:46:49 <Dave from home> I missed him. Did he go right?
10:47:02 <Joe> yes
10:47:45 <Dave from home> First geyser entered in GT? Anenome?
10:48:02 <Betty> bummer, missed him too :-(

10:54:37 <Dave from home> oh, no
10:54:47 <Joe> do not wrestle :)
10:54:57 <Dave from home> Swim downstream!
11:01:18 <Dave from home> Jimmy Buffett's voice has aged
11:01:45 <Joe> ?
11:03:11 <Joe> one too many margaritas
11:04:01 <Dave from home> He sang the national anthem in New Orleans today for the NFL game
11:04:41 <Joe> missed it
11:04:44 <ynpvisitor9> Jimmy Buffet has aged so it only makes sense his voice has too Dave!
11:05:14 <Kevin L™🌵> Rod Stewart's voice hasn't changed.
11:05:24 <ynpvisitor9> Not like he ever had a very good one, he is a singer/songwriter
11:05:33 <Dave from home> haha 9
11:05:42 <ynpvisitor9> Some do, some don’t
11:05:54 <Dave from home> Jimmy's lyrics are his selling pont
11:05:56 <Dave from home> point
11:05:58 <Kevin L™🌵> He also has an awesome model railroad he built himself.
11:06:16 <ynpvisitor9> Yes, no one bought his albums for his voice
11:06:41 <Dave from home> Who else could make up a song about a cheeseburger or a volcano?
11:07:11 <ynpvisitor9> Or wasting away in Margaritaville!!
11:07:16 <Joe> only Jimmy
11:07:39 <ynpvisitor9> Looking for his lost shaker of salt... tragic!!
11:08:07 <Dave from home> Livingston and Missoula are even in lyrics of his songs
11:08:27 <ynpvisitor9> What will Graham’s first post be?
11:08:58 <Dave from home> I was thinking Anemone but it might be a note on the bison in his way
11:23:02 <ynpvisitor999> Graham has arrived in the basin
11:23:27 <Betty> hi DG
11:23:37 <ynpvisitor999> evening Betty
11:23:50 <Betty> he posted Bulger
11:24:15 <ynpvisitor999> I'm curious if he can see anything in the disturbed Geyser Hill area
11:26:00 <ynpvisitor101> Go graham

12:07:18 <LindaG> /gt turban
12:07:36 <LindaG> Ignore that
12:07:43 <Joe> ok
12:09:21 <Joe> Castle
12:12:18 <Joe> wind blowing hard right, down basin makes it hard to see the Turbans
12:21:11 <Joe> still see spikes at 12 minutes
12:21:34 <ynpvisitor999> most likely going to be a major then
12:21:48 <ynpvisitor25> Graham didn't see Castle was erupting?
12:21:59 <Joe> yes I believe so
12:22:08 <ynpvisitor999> maybe he went down basin
12:22:20 <ynpvisitor999> or to another basin altogether
12:22:21 <Joe> about the major
12:22:31 <Dave from home> He's at Grand...might be too cold to post
12:23:03 <Dave from home> wind chill might be a factor
12:23:43 <Joe> with Grand 30min+ he may have went to look at Giant area
12:24:05 <ynpvisitor999> or it's a very large delay
12:24:43 <Joe> Graham can cover a lot of territory in no time at all
12:26:03 <Joe> If I tried to follow him around I would be wore out in no time at all
12:26:40 <Dave from home> Joe, have you met Graham?
12:26:57 <Joe> No I have not
12:27:47 <Joe> I'm just basing my comment on what I have seen when he is in basin.
12:29:39 <Joe> I saw him on cam today, seems tall, lean and appears to waste no time
12:33:16 <ynpvisitor111> Artemisia steam cloud
12:35:04 <Joe> Graham got it, was wondering about that
12:36:00 <Dave from home> Nice. Yeah, it's hard to keep up with Graham
12:36:05 <ynpvisitor999> LC
12:37:06 <ynpvisitor999> Graham used the d word for F&M :(
12:37:06 <Betty> nice catch, DG :-)
12:42:34 <ynpvisitor25> Will Grand go 7 hours to welcome Graham to the basin?
12:42:54 <Betty> it´s Graham, not Dave
12:43:15 <ynpvisitor25> Grand does not play favorites
12:43:37 <Joe> Betty :)
12:45:12 <ynpvisitor999> I think there's a moderate-to-high chance on Grand next Turban
12:45:36 <Joe> yes
12:51:53 <ynpvisitor999> hm... looks like Grand has proved me wrong :(
12:52:36 <ynpvisitor25> yes
12:52:51 <Joe> its a geyser
12:53:05 <ynpvisitor999> it does that
13:01:59 <Dave from home> Nice to see Grotto in a marathon
13:05:33 <ynpvisitor999> so if the earlier-observed dead Giant platform is actually caused by a Grotto marathon, it'd mean that Grotto has been in eruption for at least 9½h now
13:06:22 <Dave from home> Once Graham gets Grand, we should get some more Giant updates
13:07:04 <ynpvisitor25> he might also go to Geyser Hill
13:08:09 <Dave from home> TRue. I know he wants to check out NG
13:09:36 <ynpvisitor25> my steam is start and stop
13:09:50 <Joe> mine also

13:09:58 <ynpvisitor25> there's Grand
13:10:09 <ynpvisitor999> very good start

13:32:03 <ynpvisitor999> Oblong 1524 ie
13:32:27 <ynpvisitor999> Guess I was wrong. Am glad for that, actually :)
13:32:57 <Betty> YAY!!!!
13:33:35 <Betty> GO OBLONG is there and we have Oblong :-) cool
13:34:41 <ynpvisitor999> Oblong finally felt encouraged enough to go off. Good stuff

14:58:02 <CraigC> You can see him on the cam?
14:58:14 <ynpvisitor25> I would guess he is on his way back toward SL
14:58:24 <ynpvisitor25> out of cam view
14:58:32 <ynpvisitor25> maybe he will walk by and wave soon
14:59:18 <ynpvisitor25> No chance of BH, going to be dark soon

14:59:54 <ynpvisitor25> starting to snow too I see

15:00:47 <CraigC> LOL, I am joking, there is a raven
15:00:48 <ynpvisitor25> I don't see anyone on the bw benches

15:54:30 <ynpvisitor999> hi Graham
15:54:55 <GO GIANT> Good day. Who knows if Giant will erupt with Oblong and a Marathon
15:55:51 <GO GIANT> Big shock in the cabin....
15:56:05 <CraigC> hey Graham, were you waving about 20 minutes ago?
15:56:11 <GO GIANT> They have a box with two power outlets and 5 USB ports
15:56:27 <GO GIANT> Yes. I do the over the head waves if I go by
15:56:35 <ynpvisitor38> a hibernating bear?
15:56:48 <ynpvisitor38> Wow, that's a great shock
15:56:55 <GO GIANT> Haha, no, power outlets
15:57:13 <GO GIANT> And they have upgraded the cabin interior too
15:58:20 <GO GIANT> NG was just doing 10 min cycles
15:58:39 <ynpvisitor999> anything else noteworthy on GH?
15:59:08 <GO GIANT> Mouth is developing a runoff channel and bacteria
15:59:38 <GO GIANT> NG has eroded more channel on the Lion side
15:59:56 <GO GIANT> UNNG 17 is a bigger hole now
16:00:25 <GO GIANT> I was hoping to see Bulgers Hole, it was rising and splashing during Bulgers eruptions
16:00:35 <GO GIANT> I have never seen it
16:02:20 <ynpvisitor999> thanks for the GH update. Hopefully you can catch a true Bulger's Hole eruption sometime this trip
16:03:03 <GO GIANT> I will be at Grand most daylight times so will try, and for NG
16:03:26 <GO GIANT> time to get ready for dinner. Bye
